As Vice President of the Zimbabwe Academy of Sciences (ZAS) and former Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research, Innovation, and Enterprise Development) at the Zimbabwe Open University, Professor Gabriel Kabanda has played a pivotal role in shaping higher education, research policy, and institutional development. His academic influence extends globally, serving as an Adjunct Professor of Machine Learning at Woxsen University, India; Professor of Applied Business Informatics at the University of Zimbabwe Business School for 24 years; Adjunct Professor of Cybersecurity at California State University, Chico, USA; and Professor of Big Data Science at the National University of Science and Technology (NUST), Zimbabwe. A distinguished scholar, he is a Fellow of the African Scientific Institute (USA) and a member of the African Scientific Research and Innovation Council (ASRIC) of the African Union.
