Biography

Dr. Nomfundo “Warara” Kakaza is the Lecturer for Economics for Managers in the Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration Programme and also lectures Operations & Supply Chain Management within the MBA Programme.

Dr. Kakaza holds a PhD in Leadership Studies (University of KwaZulu-Natal), a Master’s Degree in Development Studies (University of KwaZulu-Natal), an Honours Degree in Economics (University of the Western Cape), a Postgraduate Diploma in Telecommunications and Information Policy (University of South Africa), a Bachelor of Economics in Education (University of the Western cape), and a Bachelor of Commerce in Education (University of Limpopo).

Her professional experience includes assisting with academic writing and course development for the TelNet Africa Postgraduate Diploma at the University of South Africa and presenting research at International Conferences. She has managed her own consulting company and international projects, such as the launch of Investment South Africa and West Coast Steel. Dr. Kakaza was appointed the first head of the Postal Regulator in South Africa and served on the South African Public Service’s High-Level Cases Disciplinary Committee.

Dr. Kakaza’s research areas focus on empowering the informal sector, AI in Education, and Indigenous Knowledge Systems.
