Biography

Professor Bibi Chummun is an Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Business and Leadership, lecturing Organisational Dynamics on the Postgraduate Diploma in Leadership programme and Strategic Marketing on the MBA Programme. She holds an undergraduate degree from Glasgow Caledonian University, United Kingdom, an MBA from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University and a PhD from North-West University in South Africa.

Prof BZ Chummun also serves as a main member on several Committees in the School and University and was Programme Academic Leader for almost 6 years. Prof. Chummun has published several papers in collaboration with other academics, students and on her own in the field of business science, problem analysis and solving, in the area of strategic marketing, low-income insurance cover and inclusive growth. She is currently supervising Masters and Doctoral students in those fields . She is a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute, United Kingdom and has also worked in the corporate industry internationally. Prof. Chummun is also involved in some responsible community engagement and service.
